Nice to meet you
I'm Cody
I’m always seeking my next adventure, whether that’s hiking, mountain biking, running a golf league in the warmer months, or skiing in the winter. As an avid learner, I’ve built a sizable personal UX library—ask me about my favorites!

Why design?
My design journey has always been driven by a commitment to high-quality craft and precise execution. A strong foundation in visual design helped me master core principles and refine my attention to detail—skills I now bring to every user experience project.
What excites me most in UX is collaborating with people to deeply understand their challenges and crafting solutions that are both beautiful and purposeful. I thrive in the "messy middle" of the process, where user insights shape project goals, and we fine-tune every aspect to ensure we’re solving the right problem. For me, high-quality design goes beyond aesthetics; it’s about creating experiences that fully meet users' needs.
My approach is rooted in iteration and resilience, traits I developed growing up in the action sports scene—falling, learning, and getting back up again. Each project is a chance to push the boundaries of craft, learn, and elevate the final result into something meaningful and impactful.
What I'm working on now
Most recently, I served as the product designer on the supplier team at Spoiler Alert, where I worked toward the ambitious goal of reducing global food waste. We tackled this challenge by developing sales and inventory management software that helps CPGs efficiently liquidate and donate distressed and expiring inventory.
My day-to-day focused on meeting with key users to understand their unique challenges and finding the best ways to simplify their workflows. I created deliverables that aligned our team around core problems and sparked ideation on impactful solutions.
Now, I’m excited for my next challenge and am currently open to new opportunities. I’m available immediately for hire and eager to bring my passion for solving complex design problems to a new team.
